Drive Traffic to your Site

Online Marketing Avice

Many people don’t realize that only 2 out of 10 people actually read a normal article, after they read the title. Writing a clear concise title is key to drawing the interest of your visitors to get them interested enough to read the entire article. Understanding your audience is very important and takes a good understanding of your industry and the product that you are selling. Weather it be a tangible product or a virtual product.

Online marketing requires catchy titles, engaging subtitles, and subheaders that make your readers pay attention. Without these catchy, engaging titles, you could have the best information or needed product around, but 80% of your visitors would never even know.

Titles that grab the readers attention

Keyword specific titles will grab a visitors attention when they are looking for what you have to sell, or what you are writing about. These will initially get the traffic to your site. If your ad title is not keyword specific enough, the visitors will not be interested enough to click the ad and visit your site.

SubTitles make readers understand what they will find in the rest of the article

If your title is engaging enough to get a visitor to your site, your subtitle should then explain in a capturing way, what the user will accomplish from reading the rest of your article. Most users need to be engaged in the first subtitle to want to venture further. Generally a good subtitle is only one or two sentences that get your visitors interested further, and bring them into your article.

Keyword specific links in your article for visitors

Clickable links throughout your article give the visitor more places to move through your content, with specific relevant keywords to promote their interests further. When you place these links in your content as keywords, make sure you link to material that might appeal to your readers on other pages of your site, your visitors will click and stay on your site longer, giving you a better chance of a sale. Generally I open the new link in a new window so that my visitors can go to the other pages of my site, and come back to the original page when they are done reading the other. I’ve also seen many people that use this concept but they link to other websites, and lose their visitors to the other website before they are done reading their article. Keep them on your site.

Keep your navigation simple and easy

Keep the navigation of your website simple to understand. Sometimes website owners like a style or design that makes a website uncomfortable and confusing to navigate. Especially when using the tip above for keyword specific links, you should always make it easy for your visitors to find their way back to the original article, homepage, and other key pages in your website.
